A NEW PERMITTING SYSTEM IS COMING SOON

The City of Dana Point will be launching eTRAKIT to accept Planning, Building, and Public Works applications online!

To transition, the counter and online system will be closed between:  

Thursday, June 19th at 12:00PM and Monday, June 23rd at 8:00AM

 eTRAKIT will feature ONLINE:

  • Permit applications
  • Payment options
  • Plan reviews
  • Permit tracking

 Projects started in e360 will be migrated by City Staff to eTRAKIT and instructions to create your new login will be emailed to current e360 users.

 We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation through this transition.

Applicants with large submittals are encouraged to call ahead and schedule and appointment. The Planning Division of the Community Development Department provides the citizens of Dana Point with an array of current and advanced planning services. Primary responsibilities of the Planning Division include the review of private and public development projects in conformance with established policy and regulations and the administration and update of the City’s General Plan, assuring that it reflects community values and state statutes.  Advanced planning projects include the Town Center Plan and the City's General Plan and Zoning Code update programs. Planning also carries out the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the California Coastal Act, and the Subdivision Map Act. The Planning Division is directly responsible for providing staff support to the City’s Planning Commission.
